Philip Rosedale (rezday 2002-03-14) is known inworld as Philip Linden

 Before he founded Linden Lab he had been working as CTO of Real Networks. In the early days, he is said to have actually helped program parts of the Second Life software, as well as having built and scripted a number of items.

In October 2009, Rosedale announced that he'd be less involved in the development of Second Life, while focusing on a new project named LoveMachine Inc, founded with Ryan Downe.
